Hocking Hills: Daisy Glen Retreat

This place is amazing.

For the money, this property didn't live up to my expectations. First of all, the pictures on the VRBO site are very old and the actual property is quite neglected. The driveway had multiple large pot holes which really jolted the suspension on our car. The house was not dirty but the furniture was stained, as was the carpet. The pool area edges were rusted (even had some sharp edges) and the paint was peeling plus the indoor hot tub was the same temperature as the pool (a little chilly). The couch was very difficult to sit on with sagging cushions (again, quite old). The master bathroom only had one sink and the shower had some orange fuzzy stuff in the grout. This property is badly in need of an upgrade and the price should be reduced to reflect that that! It honestly seemed like WAY too much needing done to even message the host about the issues.On the plus side, the kids loved the pool and it seemed pretty clean, the house is very spacious, and fairly close to Hocking Hills State Park. It was reasonably well-equipped (lots of pool towels and toys!) but there were some odd omissions (such as no liquid measuring cup). With a refresh, this would be a lovely property.

Great place for large family gatherings. Kids loved the pool, and the adults loved the large outdoor fireplace.

It was a beautiful property and a great experience staying there. Everything was very clean, the host was very quick to respond, and they were always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed.A few small things weren’t perfect, such as not having cleaner for the upstairs hot tub, extra trash bags, or paper towels. Overall, though, it was a great stay, we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to over people!

My overall impression was good. My family of 16 people had a great time. The property needed some maintenance. There was water damage and peeling paint on the exterior and on all the decks. Some water damage in the living room. The pool area was fun but needed repairs. The tub in the main bedroom faucet did not work. These issues didnt interfere with our enjoyment of the property. I felt that at this price point things should be in better shape
