Hiltop Haven: The Top Deck

Had a great time but definitely got scary making it out to the main road after the snow! Positive: Beautiful location and the host was great to work with!

Perfect little home for a couple on vacation. My husband and I stayed with our two dogs which can be a little tight(we have big dogs) but there enough space for us. Tucked away enough to be away from the noise and enjoy the beauty of the woods but just a short drive to Logan and another 10 minutes will get you to Lancaster. Great location if you are looking to spend time in Hocking hills plus other nature preserves close by. There is also a winery about 5 mins up the road.Host was great with communication and check in process was smooth. We spent most of our mornings relaxing in the hot tub and looking at the stars(we are very early birds). The skies were clear most of the time we were there and you have a great view of the stars, especially from the top deck.

We stayed here for our anniversary. We had a good time and I am very grateful that this place was pet friendly as we brought our dog along, so that was a plus! I will say there were a couple things that lowered the star review. The front door doesn’t latch very well so we had to keep double checking the door to make sure it was shut, only 1 burner on the propane grill worked so we couldn’t really use it (thankfully we could use the charcoal grill), there was metal in the drive way and we ended up getting a flat tire, the jets in the hot tub barely work & the first night our neighbors were loud (risk you take). I truly try not to complain too much about things like this, but considering how much you pay for places like these, you kinda expect close to perfection. Otherwise, the rest was great and the place was very clean. We appreciate the stay!
